Not ignorance, want awareness

(A health awareness and social welfare organization)

Introduction:

Aso Socheton Hoi Society – ESHOI, founded in 2015 with the slogan “Not Ignorance, Want Awareness,” is a health awareness and social welfare organization. ESHOI works to eliminate misconceptions and stigmas surrounding various diseases, including diabetes, cancer, and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Through health education, social activism, and community outreach, ESHOI promotes self-reliance for vulnerable communities, including underprivileged individuals and the transgender population. The organization also champions the socio-economic development of marginalized groups, focusing on mental health, environmental development, and preventing child marriage.

In this digital age, on the one hand, we have become busy, on the other hand, we are refraining ourselves from trying to know or understand many things deeply, especially about everyday matters. This is also considered a kind of stupidity. In our country, many people do not know the correct concept of various diseases. And due to this ignorance, many people make various negative comments. The impact of which falls on the entire society. SE initially started working only on diseases, especially diabetes superstition. Our ignorance about diabetes is a burden on diabetic patients. Therefore, keeping in mind the principle of ‘one person has the disease, everyone needs to know’ about any complex disease including diabetes, he has been displaying various banners on diabetes awareness and conducting awareness talks himself, following the principles of social work in various institutions, schools, colleges, university halls and public places.

Just as the development of a country cannot be said to depend on a single criterion, similarly, a country cannot be called a moral and ideal country without the overall welfare of a particular community. For a long time, various decisions have been taken on this diverse population 3rd gender (transgenders) at the national level, but no effective decisions have been implemented. When this group of people reaches out to us at various places on the road and at the ghats for two handfuls of rice twice a day, house rent and life support, many of us sit and make negative comments towards them. And if the process of asking for help is different, some do not even make the mistake of calling them terrorists. But if we think about it, has this state, this society, this family made any special arrangements for them to live their lives? Even if they have, it is very little. Patients in our country are going abroad in the hope of getting good treatment, especially towards India, and crores of rupees are going abroad every year. However, whether all patients need to go abroad or not is a matter of concern. And if it is not necessary to go abroad, then why go abroad? The number of helpless and beggars is increasing day by day in our country. Many do not know that one can become self-reliant by utilizing government resources. The organization is also working on providing information on the proper use of government resources for the socio-economic development of the backward communities and on how to become self-reliant by utilizing one’s own resources and skills. In addition, Aso Socheton Hoi Society-ESHOI’ is doing several other works.
